How it works

In automatic mode, the system regularly checks incoming readings and adjusts delivery. Depending on the glucose trend, it may deliver more or less insulin.

This creates an ongoing feedback loop of measurement, calculation and insulin delivery.

Even between glances at the display, the system processes the available sensor data. Automatic mode supports ongoing adjustment of insulin delivery.

Hybrid closed-loop systems still require your input, for example about meals and exercise. The details depend on the system used.
